Enock Mwepu, currently playing for Brighton, has been forced to retire after being diagnosed with a heart condition . According to a statement from the club this Monday.
He fell ill while joining the Zambian national team recently. He has not trained with other teammates to prepare for the game
against Malian national team because he was hospitalized.
Upon returning to England, Mwepu underwent a medical at Brighton and the test found that the midfielder has heart disease. The club confirmed that the heart disease had just started when he played heavy sports.The African midfielder said the retirement was sad, but would remain relevant with football under any image.
