Qatar becomes second asian country to host World Cup after Japan and South Korea once collaborated in 2002 . It is the first time that  World Cup is held in the Arab world, which will be ready to play from November 20, 2022 onwards.

Federation 

Qatar does not have to qualify like other asian countries (AFC). Qatar automatically qualifies for the World Cup in as the host.They are in Group A along with Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands.

World Cup History 

It should be noted that 1978 was the year that Qatar participated in the first World Cup qualifiers. However, after participating in 11 qualifiers in the past, Qatar has never come up to play. In the last round. 2022 is the historic year that Qatar will play in the final round of the World Cup after winning a seat as host.

Key Player

Al-Sadd striker Hassan Al-Haydos is the captain and key player in the Qatar national team. He is currently playing for the national team with the most 169 games scored 36 goals.

The 31-year-old striker helped Qatar win the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, then beat Japan 3-1 in the final and the title Gulf Cup of Nations in 2014.
